The latest iteration of the iconic Mars Bar, Mars Cookie Dough, combines soft, cookie-dough flavoured nougat, layered with signature caramel and coated in smooth milk chocolate.

Mars Wrigley Bars Portfolio director, Bianca Werkmeister, said the bar tapped into the growing confectionery category, being driven by younger generations.

“Research shows that cookie dough-flavoured chocolate products over-index with Gen Z and younger Millennials (41.7 per cent) well above the category average.

“We’re always excited to bring new and trending flavours to Aussie chocolate lovers, through our iconic and much-loved brands. With its indulgent taste and soft texture, our MARS Cookie Dough bar is sure to become a new favourite,” Werkmeister said.

Created locally at Mars Wrigley’s Ballarat factory, Mars Cookie Dough bars are available in a single bar (47g) and twin pack (64g) format. A fun-size share pack format follows from mid-August 2025, available in major supermarkets, petrol and convenience channels nationally.

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.
