Never Never Distilling Co. has re-released its limited-edition Coffee & Cacao Gin, created in collaboration with Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, which was named the world’s best bar at the World’s 50 Best Bars awards last year. The relaunch coincides with the opening of Bar Leone’s new venue in Shanghai and forms part of Never Never’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

Originally released in 2023, the gin combines roasted coffee bean, cacao nib, cacao butter, coconut cream and bergamot peel to deliver a rich, layered flavour profile designed specifically for Negronis. Never Never says the spirit was developed to complement the dark, earthy characteristics of Italian sweet vermouth while showcasing coffee and chocolate notes.

The production process includes washing cacao butter into the gin to create a fuller mouthfeel, while distilled coconut cream adds further texture and palate weight. According to the distillery, the result is a spirit with espresso, cacao, vanilla and citrus notes that linger through an extended finish.

The bottle’s bright orange and maroon checkerboard label references both Bar Leone’s visual identity and Italy’s football culture.

Coffee & Cacao Gin is available through the Never Never distillery door and online store, with limited availability in selected on-premise venues.
