Mr Chen’s has moved into the mac and cheese category with a three-SKU Asian-inspired range, expanding its presence in shelf-stable meal kits.

The range comprises Spicy Carbonara, Japanese Curry and Korean Gochujang variants, each a shelf-stable format prepared by adding water, butter and milk. It is made with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, and each pack serves four at an RRP of $8.00.

The products are ranged in the meal kits section of the Asian foods aisle, which the brand says supports cross-category growth, and carry a “Hack Your Mac” on-pack prompt encouraging uses such as toasties and fritters. New packaging in brighter colours sets the range apart from Mr Chen’s core line-up.

“This range is about making Asian flavours more accessible, bringing something new to the table while still feeling familiar and family-friendly,” co-CEO, Lucy Chen, said.

Mr Chen’s Asian-inspired Mac & Cheese is available now in the meal kits section of the Asian food aisle at selected Woolworths.
