Morris Whisky has launched its limited edition Smoked Sherry Barrel, following the release of its Smoked Muscat and Sherry Barrel whiskies released in 2022.

Characterised by its Rutherglen features, this whisky delivers a complex and mature smoky liquid.

The release highlights Morris’ barrel innovation, with Smoked Sherry Barrel having matured predominately in ex-red wine toasted French oak before finishing in barrels which have held Morris of Rutherglen Apera.

On the nose, the liquid has notes of lemon myrtle and glazed ginger, with elements of green apple citrus and wood smoke. On the palate, sherry with white smoke and orchard fruits, fresh-cut grapefruit, and mint leaf. The whisky finishes with nutmeg and aniseed.

The limited edition Smoked Sherry Barrel Whisky (48 per cent ABV) is available for RRP $189 online and exclusively via Dan Murphy’s.
