Australian wine producer, Millon Wines, has launched its first sparkling wine, the Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir. This debut is made with chardonnay and pinot noir grapes from Millon’s cool-climate Eden Valley vineyard.

Head winemaker, Angus Wardlaw, says the Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir, “Greets you with aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach, almond blossom, and a delicate hint of brioche. On the palate, you’ll find crisp acidity beautifully layered with ripe stone fruits, pear, and a touch of wild strawberries.

“It’s versatile enough to enjoy as an aperitif but also pairs beautifully with oysters, light seafood, or creamy soft cheeses.”

Using the Charmat method, the sparkling’s secondary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the “vibrant” fruit character while achieving fine, elegant bubbles. Wardlaw says the result is a “sparkling wine that’s fresh, balanced, and effortlessly refined”.

The Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir is RRP $27 and available through Millon Wines’ website.
