Tasmanian brewery, James Boag, is launching its new "Boag’s St George 3.5" – a contemporary mid-strength lager that it says marks a fresh chapter in the brewery's storied history.

Boag’s St George 3.5 is a mid-strength variant of the original full-strength St George, delivering what the brewery says is a modern and refreshing new flavour profile.

Produced in Tasmania, this release marks the first on tap addition to the James Boag lineup since 2004, with select Tasmanian venues set to trial the new product over summer.

Lion’s Tasmanian state sales manager, John Burchill said, “James Boag is synonymous with Tasmania, it’s fantastic to add another great brew to our already impressive lineup.

“The introduction of St George 3.5 underscores our commitment to answering the evolving preferences of beer drinkers.

“Every drop of Boag’s St George 3.5 will be brewed in our brewery in Launceston,” Burchill said.

“Excitingly, we’re already receiving fantastic feedback from consumers and customers alike and look forward to many more Tasmanians enjoying a Boag’s St George 3.5.”
