McKenzie’s is launching two new soup kit ranges in time for winter.

Rolling out in Chicken Noodle and Pea & Ham varieties, the soup packs have been designed for busy families wanting a healthy, convenient meal.

Following the trend towards more legumes in Aussie diets, the kits contain nutritious pulses as well as a stock seasoning sachet. Consumers simply add fresh ingredients.

McKenzie’s foods marketing manager Bianca Piscopo said there were noted health and economic benefits in adding these types of soups to a diet.

“Legumes have long been heralded as a superfood ingredient; they are not only a great source of protein and dietary fibre, they are easy to prepare and delicious," she said.

The McKenzie’s website also includes free recipes containing pulses.

The new soup kits are sold in Woolworths and independent stores, and each pack has a RRP of $2.49.
