A signature Mars with delicious soft nougat and creamy caramel with rice crispies, coated in smooth milk chocolate, each slice delivers the chewy-crunchy texture that's made it an Aussie favourite for generations.

According to Bianca Werkmeister, bars portfolio marketing director at Mars Snacking Australia, Mars Bar Slice holds a special place in Australian culture, with many growing up making, sharing and enjoying it with family and friends.

“We were thrilled that our Ballarat factory could reimagine this iconic treat into a delicious and convenient new bar format within the Mars range,” she said.

“When Australians are increasingly embracing the idea that everyday achievements deserve a little recognition, we know a sweet treat remains the reward of choice for many, and Mars Bar Slice delivers the perfect combination of nostalgia and indulgence for those moments.”

New research commissioned by Mars Snacking found more than four-in-five Australians (83%) believe completing everyday tasks deserve a reward, highlighting an emerging reward culture of celebrating life's small wins, as the nation juggles increasingly busy lives and places greater value on recognising everyday achievements.

With major milestones no longer the only reason to celebrate, Aussies are happily lowering the bar for what counts as a win.

Whether it's getting through a busy workday, finishing a workout, tackling household chores or simply making it through an overflowing inbox, Australians are finding more reasons to celebrate everyday moments.

Exercise and self-care (38%) and work-related tasks (38%) top the list of everyday tasks Australians believe deserve a reward, followed by household routines (33%), meal preparation (31%) and running errands (30%).

When it comes to choosing that reward, sweet treats come out on top. More than two-in-five Australians (42%) said a sweet treat is their go-to treat after completing small tasks, ahead of making time to relax (37%), watching the TV show you’ve been saving (30%), and buying something small for yourself (22%).

The launch of Mars Bar Slice taps into this reward culture and Australia’s longstanding love affair with the iconic treat, with research revealing strong nostalgic connections.

Nearly three-quarters (74%) agree Mars Bar Slice feels like an iconic Australian treat, while almost 6-in-10 say it reminds them of their childhood (58%) and have fond memories of eating or making Mars Bar Slice growing up (57%).

Mars Bar Slice is now available nationwide in medium, king and share pack formats. RRP start from $3 (45g).
