Nestlé is capitalising on the trend towards flexitarian and meat-free eating with the launch of a new range of ready-to-cook sauces and bases from Maggi.

Focused on at-home cooking convenience, the three core product ranges include Delicious Noodle Sauces designed for foodies embracing international spices and bold flavours; Flexitarian Recipe Bases for those wanting meat-free alternatives; and Tasty Stir Fry Mixes for quick, easy meals.

Positioned as part of the 'Maggi Marketplace', the products are made with quality herbs and spices suitable for busy cooks wanting quality that mirrors homemade food, according to the company.

Marketing manager Tracy Hardwick said the company had researched tasty solutions that inspire consumers to “cook at home with real food and fresh ingredients” as opposed to artificial or processed mealtime options.

The Maggi Marketplace range is designed to only need a “handful” of seasonal produce to complete the dish, and there are low-salt alternatives as well.

The Maggi Marketplace range is now sold at Coles, Woolworths and independent supermarkets.
