Ballarat distillery, Itinerant Spirits, is launching three signature flavoured spirits under its Vansetter Vodka brand, just in time for World Vodka Day on 4 October.

Crafted with fresh produce, specialty techniques and a spirit of exploration, Itinerant Spirits has created three flavoured spirits using a precision distilled approach, with only a limited number of bottles available in the first run.

The range introduces Habanero & Lime and Cucumber & Mint Vodka, and a handcrafted Vansetter Triple Sec liqueur.

Itinerant Spirits head distiller, James Fairlie, said the company wasn’t interested in creating more confectionary style vodkas.

“By using supercritical CO2 extraction for spice and vacuum distillation for fresh fruit, we’ve captured the true flavour profile of the ingredients. The result is a bold yet balanced blend that feels refreshing, considered and bursting with character,” said Fairlie.

Both vodkas are distilled from locally grown grains and proofed with natural volcanic spring water, made with the same precision and care as the original award winning Vansetter Vodka.

Itinerant Spirits co-founder, Brad Wilson, said the new flavours were the first waypoint in the company’s vodka journey.

“They reflect what Vansetter stands for – refined exploration, authentic flavours and a sense of wanderlust in every glass. Watch this space, there are more signature flavours to come, each designed to move vodka beyond the artificial and ordinary,” said Wilson.

The limited range will be available for RRP $65.00, exclusively at Itinerant Spirits’ distillery and online at vansettervodka.com on 4 October, before rolling out via select retailers.

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
