Ireland’s leading functional beverage Vithit, founded by ex-professional Rugby player Gary Lavin, is making its way to Australian drink fridges.

The range is an all-natural, low sugar and low-calorie vitamin drink, and claims to have 100 per cent of the recommended dietary allowance of eight vitamins in each serve.

Lavin said the team was excited to be launching Vithit in Australia.

“Aussies expect the best, so when deciding to launch we knew that our all-natural ingredients, with low calories and no added sugar would suit the Australian palate,” he said.

The flavour varieties include Lean and Green, featuring apple, elderflower and Maté Tea; Boost, featuring ginseng and rooibos tea; Perform, featuring mango and passionfruit juice with Ginkgo Biloba and Matcha green tea extract; and Immunitea, made from a blend of dragon fruit, yuzu and Ceylon tea.

The full Vithit range is now rolling out nationwide in supermarkets and independent retailers.

The ACCC has instituted court proceedings against Clorox Australia, owner of GLAD-branded kitchen and garbage bags, over alleged false claims that bags were partly made of recycled 'ocean plastic'.

In news that is disappointing but not surprising given the recent reports on the unfolding Qenos saga, the new owner of Qenos has placed the company into voluntary administration. The closure of the Qenos Botany facility has also been confirmed.

An agreement struck between Cleanaway and Viva Energy will see the two companies undertake a prefeasibility assessment of a circular solution for soft plastics and other hard-to-recycle plastics.
