The iconic Jatz cracker biscuit has become the basis of a new Peters Drumstick ice cream flavour.

The newly launched limited-edition Drumstick Sweet & Salty Cracker pairs Jatz cracker pieces with golden syrup for a salty-sweet taste.

The collaboration comes off the back of the pairing of Peters ice cream with other Arnott’s biscuit flavours earlier in the year, including Wagon Wheels, Mint Slice, Iced VoVo, and Caramel Crowns.

Peters head of marketing Alicia Munday says the new variety delivers "a surprise and delight element with an unexpected flavour mash-up".

“The new flavour also taps into the sweet and salty trend that is hugely popular amongst Millennials,” she says.

This is a one-off limited edition that will be available in time for Australia Day in a four-pack to share with mates as well as enjoy individually.

The Drumstick Raspberry White Choc flavour will also launch on 10 January, combining a fruity tart flavour with sweet white chocolate ice cream.

Both flavours are sold in Coles, Woolworths, and independents for a RRP of $8 for a multipack of four.
