Functional water brand, waterdrop, is gearing up for the festive season with the launch of its first ever Advent Calendar – featuring 25 doors and 11 flavours of its Microdrink hydration cubes.

Australia’s rapidly growing interest in flavoured and functional waters is showing no signs of slowing down, with shoppers looking for healthier and more affordable alternatives to sugary or alcoholic drinks. Waterdrop is one of the original brands on the scene, but only began to make a splash in Australia recently.

Founded in 2016 in Austria and launched in 2023 in Australia, Waterdrop has amassed a powerful online fanbase, with tennis player Novak Djokovic as one of the company’s investors.

Waterdrop Australia made its first move into physical retail in September, landing its products in more than 900 Woolworths stores as part of a new partnership.

The Microdrink is a small, sugar-free cube with natural fruit and plant extracts that can be added to plain water for a flavourful drink. With more than a dozen flavour options available, and added electrolytes and vitamins in specific formulas, waterdrop has been making waves.

As Australia swings into summer, the company has launched an Advent Calendar for customers to try a range of flavours at once.

“Quality, useful, beautiful, affordable – definitely don't leave out waterdrop’s first ever Advent Calendar. Unbox a curated selection of waterdrop’s finest fruity little cubes over 25 days and get ready to ring in the most hydrated season of all,” stated the company.

Waterdrop is also the official partner of the Australian Open, and is gearing up for 2026 with a new range of official player bottles, hitting the online site from 28 November.

The waterdrop Advent Calendar is now available online at waterdrop.com.au for RRP $45.00.
