House of Matcha has reformulated its canned oat matcha latte range to strip out seed oils, partnering with Oat Milk Goodness (OMG) on the change. The Byron Bay brand says the move makes it the first ready-to-drink brand in Australia to go seed oil free.

The reformulated range, sold in Original and Strawberry, switches to OMG’s oat milk, which uses olive oil in place of the industrial seed oils common across the category. House of Matcha put the change down to consumer demand for cleaner ingredient labels.

House of Matcha co-founder, Joy Barber Hua, said the reformulation followed extensive testing. “Crafting a product that not only tastes great but sits in line with what health-conscious consumers actually want felt non-negotiable,” she said.

OMG chief executive, Alex Alexic, said the partnership reflected the company’s focus on backing innovation-led brands.

House of Matcha, founded by Va and Joy Barber Hua, launched Australia’s first canned oat matcha latte and is stocked at IGAs and independent grocers nationally. The range retails at $6.95.
