Orkney-based single malt distillery, Highland Park, has launched the third release of its popular Single Cask series. The 10-Year-Old Single Cask #3439 Ex Sherry Single Malt Whisky will be available exclusively from Barrel & Batch from May 2024.

Highland Park creates whiskies inspired by the natural surrounds of the distillery in Orkney, a cluster of 70 islands off the northernmost reaches of the Scottish mainland.

The 10-Year-Old Single Cask #3439 was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022, with an ABV 65.3 per cent.

The company says the whisky features aromas of oak, smoke, violets, cloves, new leather, and vanilla, with tasting notes of vanilla, smoke, toasted oak, nutmeg, and demerara sugar on the palate.

Highland Park master whisky maker, Gordon Motion, said the company was excited to bring the third single cask release to fans in Australia.

“This whisky beautifully captures the wild spirit of Orkney with its rich, smoky, and complex flavours.

“The collaboration with Barrel & Batch has been exceptional, allowing us to share this unique expression with a wider audience.

“This release complements our core range by adding a distinctive depth and character that whisky lovers will truly appreciate," said Motion.

Highland Park 10-Year-Old Single Cask #3439 is available from Barrel & Batch in a 700ml bottle for RRP $199.00.
