Sunshine Coast-based coconut milk yoghurt company Coyo has launched a variety using newly legalised hemp seeds.

Hemp & Blueberry Coconut Milk Yoghurt combines the benefits of hemp, blueberries and coconuts to provide consumers with a healthy, dairy-free snack.

Brand manager Jonathon Knight says hemp could “quite possibly be one of the best sources of vegan protein and omegas on the market”.

“It allows us to be innovative and to help our customers get more nutrition and excitement out of a
simple snack or meal.”

Hemp seeds contain more Omega 3s and 6s than flax, chia or fish. When combined with organic coconut milk, the three superfoods together contain phytonutrients, gamma linolenic acids and lauric acids.
