Coconut and watermelon water company H2coco has launched a new range to rival poppers and juice boxes in kids' lunchboxes.

The Lunchbox Range has five different flavours, H2coco’s classic coconut water, Cocoespresso and H2melon Watermelon Water, as well as two new flavours specially formulated for kids, Troperiffic and Wildberry, which combine 100 per cent pure natural coconut water with real fruit juices.

H2coco says its new range has less than half the sugar content of some of Australia’s leading juice brands, and has a 4.5 star health rating, a rarity for the juice aisle.

H2coco founder & CEO David Freeman said he worked alongside Woolworths to formulate the reduced-sugar beverages to help breathe new life into the juice category.

According to Freeman, requests from parents for healthier juice options also spurred him to develop the new range.

“We wanted to create a range that would bring innovation to the beverage market and redefine the beverages available to consumers in the juice aisle," he said.

The new range is now available in the juice aisle at Woolworths and in Coles from October. A 3x200ml multipack will have an RRP of $4.50 for H2coco and $4.70 for H2melon.

The launch will be supported by an integrated trade and retail marketing campaign, which includes nationwide print, radio, outdoor and digital marketing, extensive in-store sampling and consumer activations.
