Grinders Coffee has expanded its retail offering, launching a new premium coffee bean range, Café-Q, in Coles and selected independent supermarkets nationwide.

The two new bean blends, Cremello and Darkoko have been specially selected, batch roasted and blended.

Having poured some of Australia’s first espresso in Lygon street, Melbourne in 1962, Grinders has been perfecting its coffee for over 60 years and has grown into a quality roaster supplying cafes, restaurants, and leading retailers across Australia.

Grinders Coffee general manager Sally Byrne said more consumers were turning their kitchens into cafes with the rising popularity of at home barista-style coffee machines.

“We’re excited to be launching our Café-Q blends and deliver a premium at-home coffee experience for our customers. Australians love quality coffee, with the premium and super premium coffee beans segment experiencing double-digit growth.

We want our customers to always have a better coffee experience no matter where they are. Our new premium offer takes that experience to the next level,” said Byrne.

Darkoko will be Grinders’ first dark roast for retail. A strong and intense, five-origin blend of Brazil Santos, Papua New Guinea, Costa Rica HGA, Mexico HG, and Indian Robusta coffee beans with a heavy body as an espresso, with notes of dark cocoa and dried fruit with a nutty, malty aftertaste.

Cremello is a mild, smooth, and balanced, three-origin blend of Brazil Santos, Papua New Guinea AX and Mexico HG coffee beans. A well-rounded and versatile blend with notes of velvety milk chocolate and caramel with a nutty, honeycomb aftertaste. Roasted for the optimal sweetness and complexity as a black coffee, Cremello delivers a smooth and balanced premium coffee experience.

Grinders Cafe-Q blends are available in 500g and 1kg packs at Coles or in selected independent supermarkets.

Pact Group is facing softening demand in Q4, citing Donald Trump’s tariffs, the ongoing domestic cost of living pressures, and supply chain disruption with shipping container supply tightening.

Raphael Geminder is following through on his stated intention to delist Pact Group in light of his failed takeover of the company, and has set 16 July as the date he wants it off the ASX.
