Golden Gaytime and Cinnabon have officially welcomed 'Junior', a cinnamon crumb frozen treat that brings the best of both icons together in one indulgent new arrival.
Combining Golden Gaytime's iconic creamy-and-crunchy toffee-biscuit experience with the warm cinnamon and cream cheese flavour Cinnabon is famous for, Junior is dipped in compound chocolate and coated in a crunchy cinnamon biscuit crumb.
Junior was born at the Streets Ice Cream 'Maternity Ward' in Minto, NSW, at 8.08am on Thursday, 6 August 2026, weighing a cool 100mL and measuring 14cm of pure main-character energy.
The company said the proud parents are doing well, completely smitten and asking for privacy at this delicious time, but keen well-wishers will be able to get a first taste from this weekend.
Junior has inherited the best qualities of both parents – Golden Gaytime's biscuit crumb crunch and Cinnabon's warm, indulgent cinnamon and cream cheese flavour.
Kalli Swaik, marketing director at Streets Ice Cream Australia and New Zealand, said the collaboration was created to celebrate two iconic brands in a way only Golden Gaytime could.
“The birth of Junior is the cheeky, unexpected result of two icons coming together. We wanted to create something that fans wouldn't just see, but talk about, hunt down and share with their mates,” said Swaik.
“Golden Gaytime has always had a knack for not taking itself too seriously, so bringing this love story to life felt like the perfect way to introduce a collaboration that's as playful as it is delicious. We can't wait to see Australians fall in love with Junior from the very first bite.”
According to Dave Mikita, president of international and licensing at GoTo Foods, this collaboration captures everything fans love about Cinnabon and one of Australia’s most iconic ice creams.
“It’s a great example of how thoughtful licensing can extend a brand in new ways that feel authentic, memorable and genuinely exciting for consumers,” he continued.
“This collaboration celebrates the best of both brands, delivering the indulgent bakery-inspired flavour Cinnabon is known for in a format that's uniquely Australian. We think it's a match made in dessert heaven.”
Golden Gaytime x Cinnabon is available in a single serve in participating petrol stations and convenience stores from this week, and in four-pack multipack in grocery freezer aisles nationwide from 24 August.
