Fourth Wave Wine says its newly launched Paddington Lane Wine Co is Australia’s first specialist rosé brand. It's encouraging consumers try the full spectrum of local rosés on offer.

Fourth Wave Wine MD Ross Marshall said the popularity of rosé continues in Australia, having grown by 15 per cent during 2020-2022.

“Tapping into domestic consumption trends and launching for the summer season, the new Paddington Lane Wine Co is designed to showcase what home-grown Australian rosé is capable of,” Marshall said.

The Paddington Lane Wine Co range features three distinct wines inspired by traditional European rosés, such as dry French and more savoury Italian styles, with grapes sourced from leading South Australian wine regions – No. 1 Dry Rosé from the Fleurieu Peninsula, No. 2 Savoury Rosé from the Riverlands, and No. 3 Soft Rosé hailing from the Limestone Coast.

Paddington Lane Wine Co is targeting the modern wine consumer, those who lead a social lifestyle and are either looking for an introduction to rosé or simply seeking out their preferred style to experience with family and friends.

Crafted by winemaker Corey Ryan, the Paddington Lane Wine Co range is aiming to help define rosé wine styles for Australian consumers and warm climate.

“Each style in the range is crafted with an intended consumer in mind. With grapes sourced from prominent wine regions and carefully selected in order to craft what we hope are the perfect styles that each variety can be, Paddington Lane Wine Co brings to life Australia’s capability of producing world-class rosé styles and enabling consumers to choose more easily. The result is an expressive, enjoyable range and a rosé style to match every palate,” Marshall said.
