Health food snacking company, Lakanto Australia, has released its latest range of monkfruit-sweetened snacks – the Low Carb, No Sugar Added Energy Ball Mixes.

Lakanto’s Energy Balls contain more than 10 per cent of the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) of key nutrients, specifically developed to deliver sustained energy throughout the day.

Designed for consumers looking to reduce sugar intake and a low carb lifestyle, Lakanto’s Energy Ball Mixes aim to provide a quick and convenient no-bake option for nutritious snacking. With 66 calories and 1g of sugar per ball, the mixes are made with whole food ingredients – such as oat flour, coconut flour, and pea protein isolate – and contain fibre, protein, magnesium and vitamin E.

Lakanto’s dietician and nutritionist, Holly Nash, said; “Unlike lots of energy balls out there, Lakanto’s are packed with protein, fibre, and importantly 1g sugar per 30g ball, these will help keep you full without the blood sugar spike.”

“Incredibly easy to make (just add water, oil and get rolling!), these are the perfect snack to take along for work, lunchboxes, road trips or summer picnics” said Nash.

Lakanto’s new Energy Ball range is available at Woolworths stores nationwide in flavours Mocha Cocoa and Vanilla Chai, for an introductory price of RRP $6.50 (regularly $9.95).

Packaging News

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
