Bega Group owned iced coffee brand, Dare, has evolved its mocha RTD to jump on the protein trend – with the launch of Dare Iced Coffee Protein Mocha.

Following the successful launch of Dare Protein Double Espresso in November 2024, the brand is branching out. Available in 500ml and 750ml bottles, Dare Protein Mocha delivers 30g and 45g of protein per bottle respectively, with no added sugar and the signature mocha flavour.

Alongside the new Protein Mocha, Dare is bulking up its protein range with new 2L Protein Double Espresso and 2L Low Fat bottles, now available in Coles.

Bega Group iced coffee marketing manager, Patrick Davis, said mocha has always been a fan favourite.

“Protein is driving huge growth in the functional beverage space, so we asked the question – what happens when you take Australia’s favourite Dare flavour and make it the strongest version of itself? Giving it a high protein lift lets it shine in a new way,” said Davis.

“With big flavour, no added sugar and a serious protein boost, Protein Mocha proves you don’t need to order a double espresso to make a strong choice.”

Dare Iced Coffee Protein Mocha 500ml is now available in Coles and select retailers, and will launch its 750ml format from May.

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
