YoPRO, Danone’s flagship high-protein yoghurt brand, has launched in New Zealand, exclusively at PAK’nSAVE and New World stores across the North Island.

Made in Australia’s Kiewa Valley in Victoria, YoPRO pouches and pots will feed yoghurt lovers 15g of protein per serve, while the YoPRO PERFORM range steps it up to 20g per serve – all with no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners.

First launched in Australia in 2017, YoPRO has fuelled the progress of millions of people all around the world – from sports enthusiasts to fitness newcomers.

With YoPRO’s NZ debut, Danone’s high-protein dairy offering now reaches consumers across 35 countries worldwide, building on the strong international growth of its protein-focused dairy portfolio.

Kathy Cavill, general manager of Danone Oceania, said the company is thrilled to bring YoPRO to New Zealand and introduce Kiwi consumers to Australia's leading high-protein yoghurt brand.

“YoPRO has built a loyal following by making it easier for people to enjoy great-tasting, nutritious food that supports their health and wellness goals,” she said.

“As more people look for convenient ways to increase their daily protein intake, YoPRO offers a winning combination of high protein, delicious taste and everyday convenience.

“Whether you're recovering after exercise, powering through a busy day, or simply looking for a satisfying snack, YoPRO helps feed your progress.

“At Danone, our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible. YoPRO is a great example of that in action, delivering healthy and science-backed dairy nutrition that helps New Zealanders stay active, feel stronger, and get more out of every day.”

The launch of YoPRO into New Zealand follows Danone’s announcement of two acquisition agreements aimed at strengthening its health-focused portfolio across the Asia Pacific region:

  • MADE Group, home to brands including New Zealand’s premium yoghurt brand The Collective; and
  • The remaining 49 per cent stake in its Australian fresh dairy joint venture with Saputo Dairy Australia.

Both transactions are expected to be completed later this year.
