Female-founded drinks brand, Corsika, has launched its first product, Blossom Spritz, a low-sugar sparkling aperitif made from de-alcoholised white wine (less than 0.5% ABV), orange blossom, mandarin and native Australian wattleseed flavours.

The drink is built around family memories. Its name honours founder Alex Tomasi's grandfather, who was fiercely proud of his roots on the French island of Corsica.

Its signature flavour comes from her grandmother's kitchen, where the scent of orange blossom was in everything she baked.

“Growing up next to the Mediterranean Sea, one breath of orange blossom and I’m straight back in my grandmother's kitchen,” said Tomasi. “It was my non-negotiable from the very first recipe.”

Blossom Spritz starts with sparkling de-alcoholised Semillon Chardonnay, lifted with orange blossom and mandarin, with the native wattleseed adding an earthy, aromatic finish.

The result is a crisp, dry and delicately floral blend of Mediterranean and Australian flavours.

Low in sugar by design, it has around 17 calories per 100 mL glass, contains no artificial flavours, and is vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

Serve it straight, very chilled over ice with orange peel or a sprig of rosemary. If you still fancy a cocktail, use it as a fizzy, lower-sugar base for a Spritz or French 75 with gin, vodka, or any spirit of choice.

“Keep it fun and refreshing, drink it straight as the hero or spritz it up with your favourite spirit,” added Tomasi.

“It's not about drinking less, it's about drinking differently and, more importantly, it is made for everyone to enjoy it the way you want without judgment.”

Corsika is created, designed and produced in Melbourne. A limited run of 3000 bottles of Blossom Spritz is available now from corsika.com.au at $29 per 750 mL bottle, or $55 for a double pack with a gift bag.

Orders ship Australia-wide, with free shipping on all orders above $150.
