Cooee Foods Australia has expanded the retail presence of its Cooee Native Superfoods brand, which is now available in Foodland stores across South Australia.

Founded by Wiradjuri entrepreneur, Terri-Ann Daniel, Cooee has evolved from kitchen bench baking into a multi category food business with allergen friendly products. The company has a rapidly expanding national presence, with Cooee Cookies and Cooee Popcorn products already stocked in Woolworths Metro, Ampol Foodary and IGA outlets across Australia, and served onboard Qantas flights.

Daniel said the Foodland launch represented more than just shelf space, and the company’s long-term goal was to significantly increase the proportion of native ingredients sourced from Indigenous growers.

“South Australia has become central to our supply chain and our story. To now see Cooee on shelves across Foodland stores connects growers, makers and customers in the same state. That’s powerful,” she said.

“We want to build a supply chain that is authentic, sustainable and scalable. Retail growth only matters if it flows back to community. That’s what we are working towards.”

Following the acquisition in December of Adelaide-based native ingredients supplier, Creative Native Foods, Cooee has been steadily rebuilding partnerships with Indigenous growers in South Australia. Now, the company’s 160g Family Pack cookies in Chocolate Chip & Wattle Seed and Nan’s Jam Drop with Davidson Plum have landed in Foodland stores across the state.

Foodland South Australia CEO, Franklin dos Santos, said the partnership aligned strongly with Foodland’s commitment to supporting local producers.

“Foodland has always championed South Australian suppliers and independent brands,” said dos Santos.

“We are proud to support an Indigenous-owned Australian business like Cooee that is combining strong commercial growth with genuine community impact. The addition of Cooee to our shelves gives our customers access to high-quality, locally connected products with a meaningful story.”

Cooee Foods Australia products can be found online at cooeenativesuperfoods.com.au and at select retailers across Australia.
