Coles has launched an expansive range of new Own Brand products for the festive season, including 87 new drink options at Liquorland. The company stated the easy to prepare range aims to help customers focus on special moments with family and friends these holidays.

A recent survey of 8000 Coles customers found that of those celebrating Christmas, 23 per cent are planning to cook and entertain more at home this year compared to previous years.

Coles chief executive officer, Leah Weckert, said the company understands that this year has been challenging for many Australian families, and wanted to ensure its festive range is delicious, affordable, and easy to prepare.

“Our team of development chefs, producers and suppliers have worked tirelessly to bring together a range of 89 new Coles Own Brand products, sourced from our suppliers both here in Australia and globally, to add a touch of magic to Christmas tables across the country,” said Weckert.

The product developers have curated a selection including Triple-Smoked Ham & Three Cheese Croquettes, Christmas hams, Free-Range RSPCA Turkey Roast, and Nature’s Kitchen Vegetable Wellington. Dessert options include Christmas Star Top Fruit Mince Pies, Festive Toffee, Date and Ginger Pudding, and Christmas Burnt Butter Pecan Ice Cream. The full range includes over 400 new and returning Coles brand products.

Coles Liquor chief executive, Michael Courtney, said customers can also choose from hundreds of award-winning drinks from Liquorland this festive season.

“With 87 new drinks available at Liquorland this Christmas, our range offers something for every taste and budget,” said Courtney.

“The newly launched Bijou Terre de Providence Pinot Noir at $22 is the perfect complement to a Christmas lunch. For a refreshing and convenient summer option, the nostalgic flavours of the Tinnies Pub Classics range will have guests cracking open a winner every time.”

Packaging News

The World Packaging Organisation has named 234 winners for the WorldStar Packaging Awards 2026, which were selected from 481 entries submitted across 36 countries.

ACOR is calling on the Government to urgently introduce packaging reforms or risk the collapse of Australia’s plastic recycling sector and face millions of tonnes of plastic waste polluting the environment.

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. Consolidation at the top, restructuring in the middle, and bold innovation at the edges have reshaped the industry’s horizons. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.
