South Australian beverage brand, Bickford’s, has launched its No Added Sugar Cordials range, a better-for-you beverage option that doesn't compromise on flavour.

The No Added Sugar range replaces Bickford’s previous Diet and Sugar Free cordials, streamlining its health-conscious offerings into a single, improved formulation.

While the better-for-you space is a growing priority for Bickford’s, the brand remains committed to its traditional core range. The No Added Sugar launch is an expansion – not a replacement – designed to give consumers more choice, not less.

Bickford’s Group head of sales and marketing, Chris Illman, said the company simplified its better-for-you range to deliver the best-tasting option possible.

“This isn’t about removing choice – it’s about raising the bar. We’re giving consumers a better alternative that reflects modern health preferences, with the same great Bickford’s flavour they know and love,” said Illman.

“‘No added sugar’ is the proposition that today’s shoppers actively seek out – but too often, they feel it means compromising on taste. We’ve made sure this range proves they don’t have to.

“We know Australians want healthier options, but they also want great taste. That’s why our traditional range isn’t going anywhere. We’re simply upping our game in the better-for-you space – delivering the same trusted Bickford’s quality in a format that suits evolving lifestyles,” he said.

The range is sweetened with a stevia-erythritol blend, and every flavour except Raspberry is made with real fruit juice concentrate. Available flavours include Lemon, Lime, Tropical, Raspberry, and Lemon Lime & Bitters.

The Bickford’s No Added Sugar Cordials range is now available at Coles supermarkets nationally for RRP $5.50, and the rollout will expand to independent supermarkets from July, followed by a national launch in Woolworths in September.

Packaging News

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
