A fresh new gin flavour has made its way to Australian shelves from the UK, just in time for summer – with the launch of Edinburgh Gin’s Strawberry & Pink Pepper Gin in Dan Murphy’s.

Breaking onto the scene in 2010, Edinburgh Gin is distilled in the heart of Scotland’s capital city. The company was acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2016, after building a reputation for its vibrant and varied gins.

Crafted with locally sourced Scottish strawberries from Perthshire, the Strawberry & Pink Pepper Gin balances the sweetness of ripe strawberries with the floral warmth and subtle spice of pink peppercorns.

Initially launched overseas in mid-2022, the gin has since made its way to the global stage, most recently landing in Malaysian travel retail in March. Now, Australian gin-lovers will get the chance to try the refreshing, summery gin.

Edinburgh Gin distiller, Calum Munro, said the product was on of the company's favourite and beloved flavour combinations.

“We have combined the trinity of The Classic gin botanicals and filled the still to the brim with strawberry and pink peppercorns to give a lovely, jammy strawberry aroma, balanced perfectly with the floral warmth of the pink peppercorns.”

Edinburgh Gin’s Strawberry & Pink Pepper Gin is landing on Dan Murphy's shelves soon for RRP $74.99.

Packaging News

Industry leaders have renewed calls for national packaging reform, warning that Australia's manufacturing resilience, recycling investment and sovereign capability remain vulnerable without policy action to create demand for locally recycled content and provide a more level competitive playing field.

Australia's emerging soft plastics recycling infrastructure is ready to process significantly more material, according to Soft Plastic Stewardship Australia, which has launched a three-month campaign aimed at boosting consumer returns and strengthening domestic supply of recycled resin.

PKN’s latest print issue is hitting desks and landing in inboxes, bringing readers up to speed with the people, technologies and innovations shaping packaging, printing and processing across Australia and beyond.
