Australian food company, Bega Group, has launched its newest addition to its line-up of locally-made products – Bega Cream Cheese with Vegemite.

Vegemite has been a staple in kitchens across the nation, and is now being mixed with cream cheese, a great option for breakfast, lunch, and even a snack before tea.

Matt Gray, general manager marketing at Bega Group says it’s a flavour combination that is bound to be a hit with fans of both products and newcomers to the Vegemite experience.

“Last year we announced the very exciting launch of Bega Cream Cheese ahead of National Cheese Lovers Day, and now, we’re thrilled to be releasing a creamy delight that tastes like Australia.

“If you’re a fan of Vegemite, you won’t be disappointed. If Vegemite hasn’t won you over just yet, this milder taste of our iconic spread offers a new way to enjoy the punchy flavour Aussies have come to know and love. We’re confident that you’ll be coming back for more.”

“Bega Cream Cheese with Vegemite is the perfect combination of two of Australia's most cherished brands. We are excited to introduce this iconic fusion to our fans which promises to be the talk of the #snackfluencer world,” he added.

And in terms of where this Vegemite infused product should be stored:

“We must say that there is no room for debate on this one – Bega Cream Cheese with Vegemite is made with fresh milk and cream sourced from Aussie farms. As you'll find it in the chilled section at your local supermarket, this product belongs in the fridge,” concluded Gray.
