Atkins has introduced three new products to its range of "smart-choice" snacks and treats for the cooler months - Caramelised White Chocolate Almonds, a Dark Chocolate Bar, and a Butterscotch Crisp Bar.

Simply Good Foods Australia managing director, Richard Sullivan, said that having convenient and nourishing options at hand was particularly important as the temperatures drop.

"Our new Atkins products aren't just for individuals following a low carb lifestyle; they're created for consumers wanting to make smarter, healthier choices while enjoying every moment of indulgence."

The Caramelised White Chocolate Almonds are described as "the ultimate luxury snack", combining the smooth, creamy taste of caramelised white chocolate with the satisfying crunch of almonds.

With less than 1 gram of carbs and sugar, Atkins' Dark Chocolate Bars is a rich and velvety chocolate fix.

Atkins' Butterscotch Crisp Bars contain 11 grams of protein and only 1.9 grams of sugar, and consist of a creamy butterscotch filling and crispy vanilla base layer, wrapped in rich milk chocolate.

Atkins new releases are available now from amazon.com.au, and in the coming weeks from Coles, Pharmacy Online and select IGA’s, Ritchies Stores, Drakes, Foodland and Foodworks.

Packaging News

Plastic resin made from recycled milk and juice bottles at a Pact-operated recycling facility in Melbourne meets US FDA safety requirements for use in HDPE food and drink packaging.

Packaging and IT recycling operation Close the Loop anticipates its second half EBITDA will fall by 50 per cent compared to the first half, on revenue that at around $99m will be similar to the first six months.

It's a pause, not a pivot: APCO has confirmed it will delay its proposed EPR fee model until beyond FY27 following industry stakeholder calls for more regulatory clarity, fairer fee structures, and time to prepare.
