Sydney-based Archie Rose Distilling Co. has launched its Single Cask Whisky series, available exclusively through the company’s website from 10 June.

The company, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, aims to continue the Single Cask series annually, with each release aiming to showcase three whiskies.

The first three limited-edition releases will drop as Batch No.1 in June 2024, including a stringybark Smoked Rye Malt Whisky, Heritage Rye Malt Whisky and a Single Malt Whisky.

Each Single Cask Whisky in this series is hand-selected by the distillery team, from the 35,000 casks currently produced and housed by Archie Rose, and will come in a limited-edition display box.

Smoked Rye Whisky is a cask-strength stringybark smoked heritage rye malt whisky, that balances sweetness, smoke and rye spice with flavours of grilled peaches and prosciutto.

The Heritage Rye Malt Whisky features Archie Rose’s local heritage rye grain, giving the whisky an earthy rye bread aroma with a biscuity sweetness and a classic spice finish.

Single Malt Whisky is the oldest of the three limited releases, a four and a half year old, full cask strength whisky. The flavour profile joins roasted almonds, sassafras, espresso and cacao with sweet sticky raisins, strawberry and pineapple notes.

  • Smoked Rye Malt Whisky – RRP $269, ABV 65.10%
  • Heritage Rye – RRP $299, 68.2%
  • Single Malt Whisky – RRP $349, ABV 66.9%

The Single Cask Whiskies will be available exclusively online from 10 June.
