Market intelligence agency Mintel will be revealing which emerging ingredients are having the biggest impact on product innovation at Foodtech Qld.

The presentation by Mintel trend and innovation consultant for Australia and New Zealand, Laura Jones, is titled Key Ingredients to Watch, and it will take place on the seminar stage at the inaugural event, which is being held in Brisbane on 26-28 June.

“Having Mintel at the show sharing knowledge provides a fantastic opportunity to learn about the latest in food trends and technology,” Foodtech Qld event director Peter Petherick said.

Some of the trends highlighted by Mintel will be represented on Foodtech Qld’s show floor, by a range of specialist ingredients suppliers including Naturex Ingredients and Ungerer, according to Petherick.

Jones is currently responsible for creating category-specific reports for the Australian and New Zealand market. Her previous roles include analysing global and regional trends in ingredients, emerging science and technology, nutrition, health and wellness, food safety, regulation and labelling.
