Suntory's new Toki whisky bucks the brand's traditional blends with a product that is distilled not only with malt but also with grain.

Toki isproduced at Suntory's Chita distillery using Hakushu and Yamazaki malt and Chita grain

and involves a blend of Yamazaki American white oak cask malt whisky, a heavily grain influenced Chita whisky as well as Yamazaki Spanish oak cask malt whisky.

Suntory describes the results as 'a subtly sweet and spicy finish with a hint of vanilla oak, white pepper and ginger'.
