Automation is continuing to transform food manufacturing, with robotic systems delivering greater speed, flexibility and consistency across a wide range of applications. At foodpro 2026, Lindy Hughson spoke with Andrew Leslie and Dale Collinson from Automation & Robotic Technologies (A&RT), which is exhibiting at the show for the first time with a suite of robotic automation solutions.
Among the highlights is Formflow, A&RT's latest high-speed robotic feeding system for thermoformers, flow wrappers and case packers, alongside demonstrations of an ABB FlexPicker robot and collaborative robot technology. Leslie and Collinson explain how the company's bespoke automation solutions can be adapted for a wide variety of food products, helping manufacturers improve throughput while maintaining flexibility.
