Network hardware company TP-Link has announced the release of a new bridge kit that offers five kilometres of range to extend wireless network connectivity.

The Omada EAP215 Bridge Kit is a five gigahertz, long-range access point with auto-pairing for businesses who need their networks to cover large properties.

The two units connect automatically via auto-pairing, and pass data between the units at up to 867 megabits per second at a range of five kilometres.

The EAP215 can be used as an outdoor access point, as it is dust proof and watertight against light water pressure. The IP65 weatherproofed bridge also includes lightning protection to minimise disruption from electrical storms.

The company states it is a great fit for surveillance, as it allows the direct connection of IP cameras via Ethernet ports, and for food and beverage businesses, as it can bring guests wireless internet to outdoor patios, verandas and terraces.

The EAP215 Bridge Kit uses the 802.11ac Wi-Fi protocol, making it compatible with a wide range of switches and access points.

It can be controlled and monitored using the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform, as well as TP-Link’s Centralised Cloud Management system. This setup enables deployment and monitoring of the device both locally and through the cloud.

For local management, the Omada app can be used to operate the EAP215 Bridge Kit in standalone mode without needing cloud connectivity.

The Omada EAP215 Bridge Kit is available from TP-Link’s network of channel partners, including value-added resellers, solution providers and distributors. For short-range indoor/outdoor installations, the Omada EAP211 Bridge Kit can connect locations up to 1 kilometre apart. Both products are supported by a three year warranty.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.
