Global food processing automation platform, Fortifi Food Processing Solutions, has completed acquisition of protein processing solutions company, Provisur Technologies. Both companies are based in the US, and provide manufacturing solutions to the food processing industry global.

Fortifi stated the acquisition reinforces its commitment to offer complete solutions that integrate optimal automation, robotics, and software capabilities. The Provisur portfolio includes downstream processing brands such as AM2C, Beehive, Cashin, Formax, Hoegger, Lutetia, and Weiler.

Provisur Technologies president, Brian Perkins, said joining Fortifi will give the company greater strength and stability to grow.

“Together, we can accelerate growth, reach new customers in new markets, and introduce Fortifi’s market-leading solutions to the customers who already place their trust in Provisur,” said Perkins.

The partnership aims to expand aftermarket capabilities, including customer access to parts, service and technical expertise. Provisur’s established support network and customer relationships will support Fortifi in delivering ongoing performance improvements, reducing customer factory downtime, and extending equipment lifespan.

Fortifi CEO, Massimo Bizzi, said the acquisition marks a transformative new chapter for the company.

“With Provisur’s complementary technologies, we now offer complete protein processing capabilities, from primary through further processing lines,” said Bizzi.

“Together, our shared strengths solidify our global leadership, create new opportunities for innovation and drive continued growth.”

Fortifi also acquired MHM Automation in 2024, which started its journey in New Zealand and now provides technology and automation to the food processing industry globally. MHM has offices in Adelaide and Brisbane.
