Global heating and cooling solutions manufacturer, Daikin Australia, has enhanced its refrigeration capabilities, with the introduction of its new DeVap evaporator range.

The company stated the national launch marks a milestone for Daikin Australia, bringing evaporators into its existing condensing unit portfolio and enabling a complete refrigeration solution for the local market. The range has been developed to address Australian needs, with a focus on dependable performance and practical design that simplifies installation, servicing and maintenance.

Its development was informed by extensive on-site research conducted across metro and regional New South Wales and Queensland, including fish markets, supermarkets, meat wholesalers, delicatessens, wineries, liquor outlets, produce specialists and ice cream manufacturing facilities.

DeVap integrates with Daikin’s broader refrigeration portfolio and supports the transition to lower GWP refrigerant alternatives, including R448A, R452A and R513A. Combined with installer-focused design that ensures precise installation and commissioning, simplifies servicing and reduces ongoing maintenance demands, the range helps businesses make more sustainable, reliable refrigeration choices with longer service life and lower lifecycle impact.

Daikin Australia refrigeration sales manager, Kevin Sultana, said refrigeration is an important and growing focus for Daikin in Australia.

“By adding evaporators to our lineup, we can now deliver a more complete solution that reflects local operating conditions and the real-world needs of installers and business owners,” said Sultana.

“For end users, compact unit designs help maximise available storage space, while durable components support consistent operation and extended service life.”

Optional features such as factory-fitted Carel EVD-ICE models are available to reduce installation and commissioning time and further improve energy efficiency, as well as Blygold coil coating, available to enhance corrosion resistance and durability in demanding environments.

Daikin is a Japanese company, which supplies food and beverage equipment to companies globally. The Australian branch has a local manufacturing presence and offices in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Townsville, and Canberra. The Daikin Australia DeVap evaporator range is now available nationally, with further information at daikin.com.au.
