Conversations from the APPEX show floor will be flowing on Stand B095, with the PKN Packaging News team bringing the livestream PKN Podcast to APPEX. Food & Drink Business editor, Kim Berry, will also be on hand.

We’re inviting exhibitors and visitors to join us to share innovation news and your views of the industry’s biggest trade show coming up on 12-15 March at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

As media partner to APPEX, PKN will be exhibiting at the show on stand B095, together with sister media brands Food & Drink Business and Print21. A highlight on the stand will be the live PKN Podcast studio, where we'll be recording short livestream conversations at APPEX, speaking to visitors and exhibitors about their APPEX experience and innovation on the show floor.

To book a podcast session, contact Sharon Amos.

The PKN team will also be filming live video interviews and posting daily updates to deliver a continuous news feed to the Australian packaging and processing industry.

To find out more about opportunities still available in the APPEX show report issue of PKN, contact Sharon Amos.

Packaging News

As 2025 draws to a close, it is clear the packaging sector has undergone one of its most consequential years in over a decade. At the same time, regulators, brand owners and recyclers have inched closer to a new circular operating model, even as policy clarity remains elusive.

Pact has reported a decline in revenue and earnings for the first five months of FY26, citing subdued market demand, as chair Raphael Geminder pursues settlement of the long-running TIC earn-out dispute.

PKN brings you the top 20 clicks on our website this year, a healthy mix of surprise and no-surprise. Pro-Pac Packaging led the list, Women in Packaging came in at #4, and Zipform's paper bottle at #15.
