Chocorn, a successful chocolate, toffee and popcorn combo created by a contestant on the Woolworths-backed TV show Recipe To Riches has hit the shelves permanently this Easter.

Chocorn emerged as the most popular product over the duration of the show, winning its creator Garth Midgley $100,000 plus an ongoing partnership with Woolworths.

A second series of the show will be aired later this year, and contestant applications closed on Wednesday.

As with the first series, contestants get to create their own home recipe on a large scale, come up with their own brand name and packaging, and then test the product in the market.

According to those behind the Channel 10 show, they are again seeking smart and innovative new products that will be sold in Woolworths the day after the weekly winner is announced for one week. Last series, the winning products included chocolate sandwich cookies and croquettes.
